A Special Notice
(My email to keep you thinking about your studies and practice is below the special notice)
I received more than a few emails from photographers saying they missed the one-day sale
because they don't read my emails every day.
One even mentioned it'd be helpful to extend the sale, since we're all hurtin' from the government shutdown and the DOGE cuts.
Thank you for the suggestion, and I agree.
So here's the link to save a substantial chunk of change: "The Photography Lessons Sale That Lasts Until the Government Shutdown Ends"
End of the Special Notice
——————————————
We can’t change what happened in the past.
But we could keep the past in mind when we're
functioning in the present.
The mistakes we’ve made and the successes we’ve had —what worked and what didn’t —are gone, but we shouldn’t forget ‘em.
We don’t know what the future will be, but what we do now (in the present moment) influences our future.
This whole past, present, and future thing not only applies to life in general, but
also to our photography studies and practice.
When we study and practice our photography today/now (in the present moment), it helps to remember what worked and didn’t work in the past in terms of camera operation, composition, and light,
and to imagine ourselves in the future as the photographers we wanna be.
While keeping in mind our past and what we’d like our future to be, the most important time for our photography studies and practice is now.
To do this effectively and efficiently, we’ve gotta define our compositional intent, observe and describe the characteristics of light we’re seeing, and operate our camera to get the best picture we can, considering our circumstances.
When we approach our studies and practice this way, we have had the opportunity to be better photographers in the future.
And don’t forget to take advantage of the Photography Lessons Sale That Lasts Until the Government Shutdown Ends, because you’ll save money now and be a better photographer in the future.
