When learning photography, we've gotta have the discipline to do our studies and practice.
Because we don't improve our understanding of camera operation, composition, and light without disciplined study and practice.
A solid photography studies and practice motivate us to make pictures, even when we don't feel like it.
If given an assignment, we'll do it and then go beyond the assignment's requirements just for the sake
of learning.
On the other hand, our discipline is our ability to say "no" to the thing we'd rather be doing so we can free up our time and commit our attention and resources to the work we need to do to become a better photographer
because that's the work worth saying "yes" to.
If all we've got is the camera on our phone, we can use it to help us learn to think like a photographer.
On the other hand, if we've got a complex camera like a DSLR or mirrorless, work worth saying yes to involves working in manual exposure mode to learn how aperture, shutter, speed, and ISO influence our picture's composition.
Whatever camera we have to study and practice with, we've gotta have the discipline to do the work we need to do and do it with intent.

class?
Bigger ain't always better.
That's why I limit my group classes to no more than five participants because smaller classes make for better, more effective, and more efficient learning experiences.
But smaller classes also mean spots fill up quicker, so sign up soon.
