Since July 3, I’ve been visiting family in North Carolina.
 

And on Sundays, I’ve been attending church with them.

Our religious differences aside, I appreciate religion.

One of the things I like is that as the pastor ends the service, he tells the congregation to apply what they learned during the sermon to their daily lives.

One thing I appreciate is putting lessons into practical daily application.
 

I wanna play with this word “religion” a bit.

Specifically, I want to discuss the adverb “religiously.”

“Religiously” is defined as follows:
 

“With consistent dedication or regularity – done faithfully, routinely, or with serious commitment, even outside of religious contexts.”

When the pastor told the congregation to practice the sermon's teachings daily, he directed them to practice what they learned religiously.

From my experience, most religions seem to offer guidance on how to be better people.

I’m not a pastor, and I’m not suggesting that photography is a religion, but we should study and practice our photography religiously.

Because when we study and practice our photography religiously, we become better photographers.

A note about group class sizes: Did you know that some places that teach photography have up to 25 students in each class? 

Bigger ain't always better.

That's why I limit my group classes to no more than five participants because smaller classes make for better, more effective, and more efficient learning experiences.

But smaller classes also mean spots fill up quicker, so sign up soon.
