Hello, .
I hope you’re enjoying the holidays and making plenty of pictures.
Unsurprisingly, we take a photography class because we’re having photography problems that frustrate
and disappoint us.
We have big problems and little problems.
For example, if we don't know how
to operate our camera effectively, don’t like our compositions, and have never considered and described light, that’s a big problem that’s usual among photographers working in fully automatic exposure mode that needs fixing because fixing it makes us better photographers and ends our frustration and disappointment.
Then there’s little problems.
An example of a little problem is maintaining a consistent tonality while working in aperture and shutter priority mode.
Another might be not knowing how to meter while trying to achieve a tonality we prefer in fully manual exposure mode.
We tend to overlook the little problems.
However, not addressing little problems means we’ll soon be back to not being happy with our work.
Either that, or we define being happy with our work as “okay with little problems.”
Fixing the big and small problems is a commitment to quality and a constant quest against not caring as we seek to consistently deliver thoughtfully composed unique pictures.
