We can spend money, and we can spend time.
And how much we should spend on either depends on the value we get for our expenditure.
When it comes to money, a decent camera that'll do what we need is a good spend.
If we're new to photography, another worthwhile investment is a good photography
class with a good photography teacher.
Based on my experience, cameras come and go, but what I've learned in good classes with good teachers will always be with me from camera to camera, so in terms of value, money spent on learning beats
money spent on a camera by a long shot.
Another good spend is time.
That's time spent researching cameras before buying one and, even more importantly, learning photography.
Yup, our cameras are important, but the
time and money spent on learning photography are invaluable.
Remember, learning photography involves learning about camera operation, composition, and light.
After all, we can have the latest and greatest camera, but that latest and greatest camera doesn't help us be better photographers if we don't understand photography.
Understanding photography takes us spending some time to learn photography.

Currently scheduled classes are below.
Smaller classes mean better learning, so class sizes are limited to 5 participants plus me.
But smaller classes also mean spots fill up quicker, so sign up soon.
And what if the timing doesn't work for you in any of my scheduled group classes? Private in-person lessons suited to your schedule are always an option.
And remember, we learn and improve by doing, so practice making at least one picture daily.
