are in the past.
If we're struggling with our photography studies and practice, not making the pictures we want, and feeling frustrated and discouraged, we may be tempted to give up photography in the future.
Keep in mind that past performance does not predict future results.
Granted, if we
don't do anything to improve our understanding of photography, chances are good that our future photographs will be similar to our past ones.
When we make an effort to understand photography, which includes camera operation, composition,
and light, the improvement of our future photographs gets promising.
In other words, we do nothing or make an effort to improve.
The past is done, but all we've got now is the choice of what do we do about it.
Sometimes, we need help with our improvement.
When that's the case, work together with someone.
Working with someone and improving together provides a resilient, effective, and nurturing experience.
And that someone could be within a group class setting or one-on-one, privately with a teacher; either option is working with someone.
Although any good photography teacher knows their stuff when it comes to photography, any good
teacher also knows that every person they work with while teaching helps them become a better teacher.
The point is that working with someone will be more effective in helping us avoid repeating our past photographic frustrations and
discouragements and will support and encourage us to improve our photography in the future.
