Over time, many photographers have become well-known and influenced generations of
photographers after them.
Henri Cartier Bresson, Lee Friedlander, and Helen Levitt influenced me.
There’s more, but listing them all would take too long.
The photographers I mentioned are among some of the brightest stars in the universe of photographers.
However, many photographers who influenced me never achieved the notoriety of the ones I mentioned.
They may not have been “stars” in the eyes of the photographers who didn’t know them, but in my eyes and mind, they shone like the sun because they influenced me profoundly nonetheless.
These are other photographers I’ve worked with, met through social circles, and took classes with.
While the photographers I mentioned toward the beginning of this communication influenced me in terms of the type of work I wanted to
produce, my teachers taught me how to operate my camera to create the best compositions I could, given the light I had to work with.
Although I aspired to produce work similar to the famous photographers I mentioned, the photographers who
taught me how to be a photographer were relatively unknown to the masses, especially my teachers, who taught me how to be the best photographer I could be.
Like the stars in the sky, the stars in our photography universe are there to guide
us.

And what if the timing doesn't work for you in any of my scheduled group classes? Private in-person lessons suited to your schedule are always an option.
And remember, we learn and improve by doing, so practice making at least one picture daily.
