Hello, .
Do you ever think about what's involved in making a photograph?
In short, all of the pictures we make involve seeing something that initiates the impulse to make a
picture and then engaging in a process that consists of an intent of composition and camera operation to create visual outcomes that support that compositional intent.
However, depending on the camera we use and how aware of what we do as
photographers when making a picture, we may need help describing the thought and operation process we all go through to make pictures regardless of what camera we use.
Frequently, I meet with photographers who want to learn to use the
camera on their phones thoughtfully to create intentional compositions.
And here's the good part, that thought and camera operation process I was talking about can be learned by using the camera on their phone.
In short, they will learn to think like a photographer and operate the camera on their phone effectively to create thoughtful and intentional photographs.
And suppose they ever decide to get a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or whatever format of camera.
In that case, they'll also be able to apply that thought and camera operation process to that camera.
So, if you have a camera on your phone, you can learn how to be a better photographer by
thinking like a photographer.
However, if you've got a DSLR or mirrorless camera, in that case, the Introduction to Photography class will teach you that thought process and a whole lot more.
More classes are below.
