Hello, .
As in any job, there are some parts we enjoy doing and some parts we don't.
Some days, I spend a good chunk of time working on pictures in Lightroom, and while that's not
a part of the job I enjoy, it needs doing.
Specifically, I change file names and add titles, caption information, keywords, and copyright information.
I don't alter the visual information in the photographs because whatever comes from my camera is the picture I use.
And I do that because I get the picture looking the way I want in the exposure.
So, my only work in Lightroom is to change the file from RAW to TIFF and add file names, titles,
caption information, keywords, and copyright information.
Doing the work upfront while making the picture makes our job much easier in post-production.
As a photographer, I'd rather spend time making pictures with my camera because I find the process of making pictures far more enjoyable than editing or "fixing" pictures on my computer or in the darkroom.
But to do the work upfront, in camera, we need to know what we're doing as photographers.
And if you need help with learning how to make pictures that you don't need to "fix" in editing software, I can help you.
Introduction to Photography and Getting To Know Your Camera Classes will help
you work a lot less in editing software because you'll know how to use your camera to get the pictures you want.
Classes are below.
Do you need to learn to use your camera or brush up on some skills and techniques, especially if you want to be ready to take pictures and record those holiday moments?
