We have two choices in our approach to composing our photography. Here's how the choices affect our work. 
 
What I mean by simple is simplifying our camera operation process into focusing, metering, and exposure and involving ourselves in each function. 
 
When I say easy, we take the fully automatic exposure mode approach and use our camera like a point-and-shoot. 
 
When we work simply, we create thoughtful, uniquely composed photographs. 
 
An easy approach to photography makes pictures that show what the photographer saw.
 
A simple approach to photography creates pictures that show how the photographer was thinking about what they were seeing.
 
Simple means working in aperture priority, shutter priority, or manual exposure mode and making pictures intentionally and thoughtfully.
 
A simple approach to photography is the best way to understand how camera operation results in the visual cause and effect of composition, and it allows us more control over the outcome of our compositions. 
 
An easy approach to photography is the best way to be more casual or as least involved in photography as possible, and it allows us no control over the outcome of our compositions. 
 
We should be happy with our work. 
 
If we are, nothing more needs to be done, and we should just continue doing what we've been doing. 
 
If we aren't, we've gotta be more involved in our photography studies and practice.

And what if the timing doesn't work for you in any of my scheduled group classes? Private in-person or online lessons suited to your schedule are always an option. 

And remember, we learn and improve by doing, so practice making at least one picture daily.
