Hello, .
Here's a little tidbit of information that, once you get it, you'll ask yourself; "Self, doesn't D'Amico have anything better to do than look up statistics on a Saturday night?
At the moment, I don't, and according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, having Mondays or Fridays off makes a lot of sense when it comes to keeping your sanity.
With Mondays off, you can spend quality time with family and friends
on Sundays and not ruin the Sunday experience by worrying about getting your butt to work on Monday.
If you're one of the around 20% of Americans whose butts have Mondays off, I've got something you can do on your days off that'll get you
exercising your index finger; think about the stuff you see as you've never thought about it before, and get you making pictures like no one else can.
I'll be teaching an Introduction to Photography class starting this Monday,
February 5th, and I still have two spots left.
The class will meet once a week for four weeks, each meeting lasting an hour and a half, totaling 10 hours of learning photography.
By the end of the class, you'll be skilled in operating your camera in manual exposure mode and confidently making pictures the way you want.
You'll learn about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focusing, light, and composition.
If you want to improve your
photography skills, this is the class you'll want to sign up for.
It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or have some experience; you'll learn something new, and, to paraphrase a recent student, "You won't find this stuff on
YouTube."
If you're one of the lucky 20% to have Mondays off, grab one of those two spots in my class or, if you want to bring a friend, both; grab your DSLR or mirrorless camera, get yourself to The Kogod Courtyard in the National
Portrait Gallery, and we'll do the work to make you a better photographer.
And while you might be one of the 20% that has Mondays off, you'll get 100% out of me when it comes to helping you be a better photographer.
I've got a bunch of group classes coming up.
