Hello ,
There's a way for us to be better photographers.
It doesn't involve getting new equipment.
And it ain't about any tips, tricks, or hacks.
It's about our consistent, persistent, and intentional studies and practice using whatever camera we have.
And yup, even the camera on our phone.
Good photography ain't so much about the camera because cameras don't make good or bad pictures; photographers do.
Photography is an intentional visual communication.
And to effectively communicate with a camera, our photographs need to reflect our intent of
communication, which should drive the purpose of our composition.
We need to study and practice with light, camera operation, and composition. That's it, three things.
Light is always available to practice with unless we're in places where the sun, lightbulbs, or other transmitting light sources don't shine.
And most of us usually have a camera with us; even the camera on our phone will do.
And whenever and wherever we have light and a camera, we can practice composition.
And we can even study and practice our photography without a camera.
We can do that by imagining how we'd operate our camera to create an intentional photograph of whatever light we see now.
There's no need to go anywhere special or have any specialized stuff.
The only thing to do is to create the best picture possible that communicates whatever we've got to say by using whatever
camera we've got.
Remember, studying and practicing our photography can be done just about anywhere and anytime.
And the more we study and practice, the better we get.
And remember, we learn and become better by doing, so make sure to practice by making at
least one picture today.
That’s all for now; thanks for reading!

And if the timing doesn't work for you in any of my scheduled group classes, we can schedule a one-time lesson or a series of in-person or online
one-on-one private instruction that cover the same things as any of my group classes.
